In their country store they have ice cream, homemade fudge their world-famous prickly pear, gelato and all kinds of fun old-timey candies and sodas. It features incredible artwork done by local artists. The western town has a mercantile with unique gifts and souvenirs. Today, with a population of only six people, it is hard to believe that during the high season there are over 20,000 people visiting the town every month. At the time the area had a zoo and a schoolhouse for the residents and even a U.S. In the 1920s there were over 120 people living there after the dam was completed. Visitors are transported into the past as they walk down the wooden boardwalk that runs through the center of the town. The rich history of the area is the lure of this tiny town.
